These Terms of Use cover Defense Tech Base's public directories, research pages, guides, tools, newsletters and courses. Please read them before using the service. Purchases also have the terms and license presented at checkout; the research download terms govern purchased research editions and their permitted use. Our Privacy Policy explains information handling.

What the service provides

Defense Tech Base helps you find organizations, service providers, investors, products and jobs, research awards and opportunities, and prepare business decisions using guides and tools. It is an independent research and publishing service. Inclusion, source matching, a ranking, a sponsored placement or a course does not establish government affiliation, accreditation, investment suitability, supplier qualification or a procurement commitment.

Use the material as a starting point. It is not legal, tax, investment, accounting, export-control, security-certification or procurement advice. Verify material facts with the original source and obtain appropriate professional advice for your circumstances.

Sources, coverage and decisions

Records and summaries can be incomplete, outdated, incorrectly matched or affected by source changes. Award amounts can describe different measures, such as obligations and contract ceilings; a historical award is not proof of current demand or accessible revenue. Rankings describe the selected records and method, not the whole market or company quality. Patent records do not establish current ownership, freedom to operate or enforceability. An opportunity listing does not establish eligibility, a complete solicitation or a guaranteed award.

Check current solicitation documents, amendments, deadlines, agency instructions, job descriptions, licensing terms and qualifications directly. Original publishers and receiving organizations control their requirements. You remain responsible for your selections, calculations, submissions, compliance and business decisions. Automated or AI-assisted summaries and outputs can be wrong; review them before use.

Permitted use and content rights

You may browse, link to and use public information for lawful research and business preparation. You may use and adapt our free tools and downloaded AI instructions for your own personal or internal business work, and share the reports or conclusions you create. An express license included with an individual asset controls that asset. Purchased authored workbooks and templates follow the selected purchase license; free access to a page does not grant redistribution rights to a paid product.

Underlying public facts and third-party material retain the rights and licenses of their original publishers. Preserve required attribution, including applicable open-data licenses. These terms do not claim exclusive rights in public facts or restrict uses that applicable law permits. Our original articles, designs and authored products remain protected where applicable; contact us before republishing substantial authored material or reselling our products. Third-party names, logos and marks belong to their owners.

Acceptable use and submissions

Do not interfere with the service, evade security or rate limits, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, impersonate others, submit deceptive information, harvest private contact/access data, or use the service unlawfully. Automated access must respect access controls, reasonable request limits and applicable source rights; do not degrade service for other visitors.

When submitting a listing, correction or inquiry, provide accurate information and have authority to share it. You permit us to review, edit and publish business information intended for a public listing, and to use private correspondence to handle your request. This does not authorize us to publish your private message as a testimonial. Submission or payment does not guarantee approval, a particular editorial description or uninterrupted placement. We may reject, correct or remove inaccurate, unsuitable or unlawful material.

Do not send classified, controlled unclassified, export-controlled, confidential proposal/customer material, credentials or sensitive personal records through public forms or tools. These workflows are not designed or represented as approved channels for that information.

Sponsorships, profiles and third parties

Paid placements are labeled and can affect visibility and position. They are not endorsements or guarantees of quality, compliance, performance, funding or suitability. Evaluate organizations independently. A profile claim is a request for review, not an automatic transfer of editorial control. Sponsorship/profile purchases follow their checkout or agreed service terms; published offers and any separately agreed terms control their specific scope.

We are not a party to your dealings with listed organizations, employers, investors, government agencies or linked services. Their application, purchase, privacy and other terms apply when you use them. Check qualifications, fees, suitability and current details directly. Aggregate sponsorship metrics are estimates and do not guarantee identified leads or results.

Email, courses and private links

Subscribe using an address you control and confirm when requested. You can unsubscribe from newsletters and manage or stop course delivery using the provided controls. Course selections and progress support your learning; completing lessons is not an accredited qualification or evidence of regulatory compliance. Delivery depends on email providers and your mailbox settings.

Keep course access, receipt, sponsor-report and download links private. A person with a valid link may be able to access that linked workflow. Report suspected misuse to us. Current public use does not require a general login account; any future account service may introduce additional terms and responsibilities.

Purchases and support

Review the stated product, edition, price, license and coverage before paying. Research downloads are one-time edition purchases unless the offer expressly says otherwise; future editions or ongoing updates are not included. Individual and Team permissions, upgrades, delivery and replacement/refund support are explained in the download terms. A general Terms update does not retroactively change the license delivered with a completed purchase.

Contact [email protected] with an order reference for delivery or product problems. Mandatory consumer rights remain available. Do not send card details or private access links in a public message.

Availability and responsibility

We may update the service, correct records, change free features, or restrict access to address misuse and security concerns. Save browser-only notes and downloaded work if you need to retain them. We do not promise continuous availability, complete coverage, a particular commercial outcome or recovery of browser-local work.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and research are provided as available without guarantees of accuracy, completeness or fitness for your particular decision. We are not responsible for third-party services or losses caused by your reliance on unverified records, your business decisions or unauthorized sharing of private links. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer rights or removes an expressly agreed purchase obligation.

Changes and contact

We will post revised terms here with an updated date. Material changes to an ongoing paid service will be communicated as required by applicable law or its agreed terms. Separate purchase licenses and specific agreements take precedence for their subject matter. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining terms apply to the extent lawful.
