How to compare defense products using the catalog

Start with the job the product must do, then compare published uses and specifications on the product pages. The catalog includes products, platforms and product families; these are not necessarily direct substitutes. Unrecorded price, availability or performance remains unknown.

  1. Choose a use or search the catalog

Open Products and choose an Explore by use collection, or search by product, company or use. Category, offering-type and company filters can narrow the results. Clear filters if the search is too restrictive.

  2. Review individual product pages

Open each relevant offering. Read its published use, specifications, availability and pricing notes. For a product family, confirm the specific model and configuration.

  3. Separate roles before comparing

Write down the task each offering addresses. Related products may support different stages of a workflow. Compare requirements, interfaces, operating constraints and unknowns—not just product names.

  4. Confirm the shortlist with suppliers

Visit the company’s website. Confirm current configuration, lead times, commercial terms and requirements for your environment. Published vendor information is not independent testing or procurement approval.
