Use the CMMC buyer’s guide to define the support you need, then review provider profiles and confirm the scope directly. Readiness consulting, implementation and assessment are different services; a directory category does not prove authorization to perform an assessment.
Define your requirement
Start with the CMMC buyer’s guide. Identify the information and systems in scope, your contract requirement and whether you need readiness support, implementation or an assessment.
Review provider profiles
Browse the relevant providers from the guide. Check each profile’s description, capabilities and website rather than assuming every provider offers the same service.
Build a consistent shortlist
Record the same questions for each provider: work included, deliverables, timeline, internal effort, relevant experience and fees. Keep unknown answers marked as unknown.
Confirm directly before choosing
Use the provider’s website or contact details to confirm its current service scope and any required assessor authorization. Sponsorship or directory inclusion is not an endorsement or certification.
